Sail for the Troops Program
Pettit Marine Paint prides itself on manufacturing products that are 100% American made. Our company strongly believes in supporting our country and to show our gratitude to both our veterans and active armed forces, Pettit Marine Paint is making a commitment to give back to those who keep our country safe and free through our "Sail for the Troops Program". For every gallon of Vivid antifouling paint that is sold between September 1, 2012 and October 31, 2013, Pettit Marine Paint will donate $1.00 to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
Disabled American Veterans (DAV) is a non-profit organization that helps active military personnel, as well as veterans and their families, everyday. With 88 offices throughout the United States and Puerto Rico, as well as several "mobile offices", DAV offers assistance with shelter and programs for homeless veterans, including support finding employment. Their program also includes aid for filing claims related to disability and pensions, help enrolling in continued education and obtaining health care, as well as guidance concerning many other pertinent items. They also offer free counseling, seminars and community outreach programs to provide knowledgeable to the public about ways they can become involved with the DAV.
When you purchase a gallon of Vivid antifouling paint, it will be labeled with a "Sail for the Troops" sticker on the lid, showing Pettit Marine Paint's support for the DAV. Our goal is to make a donation of $15,000.00 to the DAV at the end of Pettit Marine Paint's fiscal year. With the union of Vivid antifouling paint and our commitment to the DAV, we know that our customers vessels will be protected as well as the self-sacrificing veterans of our country. It's a perfect, heartwarming match.
